Do Not Take Celebrex if You are Currently Taking any of these medications:
Over the Counter:
- Aspirin
- Codeine (found in some cough medications and pain killers)
- Diuretics (many diet pills and other “water pills”)
- Ibuprofen

- Alendronate (for osteoporosis)
- Amiodorone (for irregular heart beat)
- Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme (ACE) Inhibitors (for hypertension)
- Atazanavir (HIV medication)
- Bosentan (for Pulmonary Hypertension)
- Cidofovir (Antiviral)
- Cimetidine (Anti-ulcer)
- Clopidogrel (Anti-platelet)
- Codeine (Pain killer)
- Cyclosporine (Immuno-suppressant / post-organ transplant)
- Delavirdine (HIV drug)
- Dextromethorphan (Cough suppressant)
- Drospirenone (Birth control)
- Efavirenz (HIV drug)
- Entecavir (Antiviral used for Hepatitis B)
- Ethinylestradiol (Birth control)
- Fluconazole (for fungal infections)
- Fluoxetine (for depression)
- Fluvastatin (used to lower cholesterol, and to treat Hepatitis C)
- Fluvoxamine (for depression)
- Furosemide (diuretic)
- Imatinib (Cancer drug)
- Isoniazid (Tuberculosis drug)
- Ketoconazole (anti-fungal drug used in many athlete’s foot and dandruff medications)
- Lithium (for Bipolar Disorder)
- Methotrexate (for Cancer and autoimmune disorders)
- Metoprolol (for hypertension)
- Metronidazole (anti-bacterial)
- Mexiletine (for heart arrhythmia)
- Ondansetron (Antiemetic)
- Paroxetine (for depression)
- Pemetrexed (Cancer drug)
- Prednisone (Steroidal anti-inflammatory / anti-allergy)
- Propafenone (for arrhythmia)
- Rifampicin (antibiotic, antibacterial)
- Ritonavir (HIV medication)
